Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

Free Tool Explorer is private by design. The tools run entirely in your browser, there are no accounts, and we never sell your data. The only measurement we use is privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that counts visits and measures page-load performance without identifying you. This policy explains the little data that is involved and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Tools run in your browser

Every tool on this site runs locally in your browser. The values you type, the files you open, and the results you generate are processed on your own device — they are not transmitted to us or stored on our servers.

What data we process

We deliberately keep this to a minimum. A single functional cookie remembers your language preference; it is strictly necessary for the site to work and is not used for advertising. To understand how the site is used and performs, we run Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which measure page views and page-load performance in aggregate — they set no cookies, store nothing on your device, and do not collect personal information or track you across other sites. We run no advertising or third-party tracking. As with any website, our hosting provider may record standard technical data — such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of each request — in server logs, used only to operate and secure the site.

Legal basis

For the limited technical data above and our aggregate, cookieless analytics and performance metrics, we rely on our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in operating, securing, and improving the site. Because this measurement sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, it does not require consent; the language cookie is likewise exempt because it is strictly necessary for a service you requested.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell or share personal data. The only third party involved is our hosting and analytics provider, Vercel Inc. (United States), which processes the server-log data, aggregate analytics, and performance metrics described above on our behalf as a data processor; this may involve transferring that data to the United States under Vercel's data processing agreement and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. No advertising networks or social-media widgets are embedded in this site.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, erasure of, or restriction of your personal data, object to its processing, and ask for data portability. Because we hold almost no personal data, there is usually little to act on, but you are welcome to contact us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
